Meet Coach Shannon Smith, NBC-HWC

Hello, my name is Shannon. I offer health and life coaching to encourage people to reach their full potential of health and wellness by looking at their life in a holistic manner: Mind, Body & Spirit. Physical health starts in the gut, and I am here to help recognize what foods are best for your body and lifestyle. Physical activity is a necessary part of a well-balanced lifestyle. We’ll explore what movement your body is going to love. All of this comes together with mind and spirit. Together we will find a deeper sense of peace within you while the body continues its path to better health.

My journey started within myself while I earnestly sought healing from endometriosis. I am familiar with chronic pain and major disruptions of life. I have learned a lot on my journey, including techniques to settle fight/flight/freeze that comes from the trauma a woman endures from it. I believe we are created to heal when we give our body the environment to do so.

I have helped many other people who found themselves in a similar situation. We discussed how food impacts inflammation and detoxing. There are so many pollutants out there. It can be overwhelming to get rid of them internally and externally. That’s why we take it one step at a time. I share which companies and products I trust, from topical products, the foods I eat to the supplements I take (as suggested by practitioners).

Sometimes, diet and exercise are not enough because the triggers are much deeper. When you’ve switched out all of your plastic for glass, quit using the microwave, eat a very strict clean diet and symptoms are still interfering with life, undergone multiple surgeries and taken more medication than I can count, it’s time to dive deep into your brain. This is where somatic movement and breathing exercises help me. I’ve learned that my brain can release old traumas that trap emotions and negative loops. I’ve learned various breathing techniques and simple stretches to help my mind and body reconnect.

I’m very blessed to have gone through what I have so that I can help others like me. My program can restore hope at a deep level.

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with an advanced certification in health and wellness coaching. I am also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).

Stay well,
Coach Shannon
